I wonder why the “partner” repository is not enabled by default in ubuntu :P This repo enables sun-java and many other useful packages.

Shortly add to your /etc/apt/sources.list the following lines:


deb http://archive.canonical.com/ lucid partner
deb-src http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu lucid partner
